Speak To Everyone, Nobody Listens

I was having a conversation the other day with one of the coaches in our network. We always have progressive, forward thinking discussions; many of which are based around improving season after season. A big topic of our chats always circle around creating an elite culture.

In our experience, to be elite means to stand by your vision. You must have a very clear standard of expectation. Essentially, what you will tolerate before drawing the line. This is huge for creating successful teams.

For us, we strive to create an elite culture of success. Do what must be done and your chances of accomplishing what you set out to achieve increase exponentially. At IPC, we are something special for SOMEONE. We aren’t trying to be everything for anyone. The old saying rings true: “when you try to speak to everyone, you speak to no one”.

Our most successful athletes believe in consistency, discipline, hard work, perseverance and long-term development. Our athletes see the forest through the trees; we stack a brick on the road to success and not look for the horizon on the brick itself. By keeping our finger on the proverbial pulse, we ensure our athletes have the best training partners, intensive coaching and catered plans in a high performing environment to be their best.

I’ll be blunt, we are NOT a good fit for you if:

  • You only train when you feel like it
  • You do random workouts every week
  • You only train during the off season
  • You are closed off to learning
  • You want quick fixes
  • You are inconsistent

In our experience, the best athletes:

  • Do strength & conditioning year round
  • Follow a catered TRAINING PLAN
  • Are receptive to constructive feedback
  • Believe in sustainable long-term development
  • Believe consistency > intensity

As you can see, we aren’t for everyone, and that’s ok! We aren’t trying to be. We know what we are about and believe in our standard of expectation. We are special to SOMEONE and help make a meaningful impact on them. Stand by your convictions and uphold your vision. For if not, a blurred line is one many can cross.

So simple, it’s hard.
